TCS Information Specialist Tru-Color Systems is offering a new program to train decorative painters who are interested in serving as TCS Information Specialist in their area. The purpose is to mentor and teach others about the value of the TCS System and how to gain maximum benefits from its use. You are invited to register for this free color training if you are willing to serve in this capacity. Here are suggested qualifications. 1. Candidates should be either subscribers to the TCS On-Line Color Solutions Network OR own and have experience using the TCS Color Match Sourcebook. 2. When available, be willing to conduct educational sessions about color and the TCS System when needed. These could be in painting studios or teaching shops in your area. 3. Agree to invest some personal time for advanced color training so as to fully understand the value of the TCS System for it users. There is no charge for these study guides which will be provided by TCS via the internet and surface mails. WHY CONSIDER DOING THIS? Our art form is beleaguered by thousands of color names which confuse and confound the beginning artist. Perhaps you know of decorative painting students who begin classes then quit as a result of being overwhelmed by the noticeable difficulty of understanding color and various painting mediums. Thousands of artists use the TCS Color Match Sourcebook to find matching colors or mixes of the most popular oil and acrylic brands. Some painting groups offer classes to help members gain the benefits of a better understanding the TCS Color Identification System. Laurie MacKenzie, President of the Little Rhody Rembrandts of Westerly Rhode Island conducted a class on the TCS System and how it helps decorative painters. She reported that as a result of that class, 19 members purchased Sourcebooks. One painter stated that she already owned the Sourcebook for two years but until now, did not know how to use it correctly. Shirley Miodus, Publicity Chairman, Heart of Texas Tolers in Austin, taught a color mixing class for her painting . Class members learned from the TCS Sourcebook how they can substitute colors, if they have them or mix a correct color either from paints on hand, or if not, modify paints that do match. Shirley also teaches how to create any color using a limited palette of colors to match the TCS “target” color. How To Proceed: If you are interested in taking the next step, you may register your contact information here and a return e-mail will link you to Study Guide One. There is no fee, just a willingness to learn more and then help others improve and expand their color choices.
