TCS Study Guides: Overview

TCS Study Guide One

Text Reference: TCS Decorative Painting Color Match Sourcebook, 3rd Edition by Bobbie Pearcy.

Leads you through the most important features and functions of the TCS Sourcebook.  From how easy it is to find substitute / matching colors to the shortcuts of using the Sourcebook, this step by step approach will help you better understand the TCS Color Identification System. As you progress thru the text, you will feel more confident in your own color selection and mixing skills. You will gain knowledge about hue, clarity and value and how these scales combine to form a unique color identifier. This course material is not about frequency of light and how it reflects colors to the human eye. This is color knowledge from the viewpoint of an artist, how an artist sees, judges, mixes and measures paint mediums to achieve the desired effect and results.

TCS Study Guide Two

All text is provided on TCS internet web pages.
